Where Have I Been?

Sorry that it’s been so long since I last communicated with you, but I’m hard at work gathering my backlist and marketing it.

When your characters stop talking to you, it’s time to stop writing their stories. That’s what happened to me. My characters left. I chose to write blogs for a few years, keeping up with my Find Your Heart’s Joy and Living Stone Faith blogs and Facebook pages.

Even so, eventually, even that got interrupted by my major health issues. Hitting my sixties was not easy. I had most of these diagnoses already, but they all decided to flare at the same time. Fibromyalgia. SIADH (Syndrome of Inappropriate Anti-Diuretic Hormone), Hashimoto’s, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, CHF, IBD, and more. Then new diagnoses were added: Gastroparesis, Hypotension, POTS, Hypoglycemia, Dry Eye Syndrome, Lung Disease, Elevated Diaphragm, Covid and more.

My life revolved around hospitalizations, surgeries, doctor appointments, and home healthcare. It got to the point that my doctors didn’t want me driving anymore, so I had to find alternate travel arrangements. I found a transport program for the elderly in my county that I qualified for and signed up. I can schedule transport to and from doctor appointments up to two weeks in advance.

In the last couple of months, I’ve been working on breathing life into by backlist. Since my publisher, Mundania Press dissolved, all rights reverted back to me. I released them on Amazon as Kindle e-books. Well, as many as I could. Our server had a severe breakdown that not only lost its data, but the back up data as well. I had to accept that most of my writing was gone, …. forever. It was a huge blow that left me deeply wounded. I do have some paper backups, that I will eventually go through.

Until then, I’m working on what I have available now. https://tinyurl.com/VickiMTaylor Lists my books on Amazon. I hope to be more active now and possibly showcase other authors and topics. A great way to end 2024 and start 2025!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
